Our Worship: Sundays at 10 am
Mount Olivet Episcopal Church is the Parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana on Historic Algiers Point, New Orleans.
We seek to develop and maintain the light, love, and peace of God in our lives, so that these gifts may be shared with others.
Light: We hope to maximize our individual talents completely, as a cohesive whole for the full benefit of our members, neighbors, and community. Love: We desire to create an inclusive community of faith, where all are welcome to become a part of a growing Church family whose members love God, and one another. Peace: We endeavor to better understand and study – through instruction, worship, and guidance – God’s word for application, and incorporation into our daily lives. |
We currently have one spoken service of Holy Communion on Sundays at 10 am, consisting of prayers, scripture readings, and a sharing in the sacrament of Christ's body and blood. There are two brief sermons: one geared towards children and one with everyone in mind. After the children's sermon, children are invited to leave for Sunday School and their own fellowship. Our worship service is structured according the Book of Common Prayer. Services are just under one hour, with a time of fellowship to follow. |
